An extra-ordinary biography of music wizard Sachin Dev Burman in English, written by HQ Chowdhury, a recipient of SD Burman Award (2006) from the Govt. of Tripura, India. The book contains interesting information covering the entire spectrum of the maestro's life - from his early days in Comilla to his last days in Bombay. Also, it contains a complete list of Bangla and Hindi songs, yearwise along with the names of lyricists and singers.

Toitomboor August 2010 Issue FB Version published

Dear friends,

Starting with July 2009 issue, the August 2010 issue of Toitomboor FB version is meant for the readers of Toitomboor across the world, including the Banglaphony readers.

It may be mentioned that this version differs from the hardcopy version in terms of colours in some pages.

Annual subscription fee for the hardcopy magazine varies from one country to another starting from BDT 350 for 12 monthly issues within Bangladesh. However, there are no fees applicable for the Toitomboor FB version until further notice.

Copies of the Toitomboor hardcopy issues are sent to leading schools, child related organizations, corporates and embassies besides the subscribers in home and abroad. To promote your issues/brands/products/organization, you can take advantage of the wide coverage through Toitomboor, and hence you can think of a Page Sponsorship.

Invitation for writing a Peace Note

Dear Friends,

We have decided to focus on peace and friendship in the August issue of STRIDE (
a 8 page newsletter in English that shares with the readers info on our works,
ideas, concepts and so on) which will be published by the end of third week of
August. To that end, we invite you to write a Peace Note within 30 words and
email it to us by 15 August, 2010. Notes selected by the editorial board will be
published in STRIDE and shared also across the world through Toitomboor
yahoogroup and blog.

Please mention your full name, age, sex, occupation, city and country (A full
postal address will be appreciated in case you allow us to send you hardcopy
materials) when you send the note. You can also send your photograph with the
note, which may be published depending on the availability of space.
