Baro Taka-y Baro Jon er Shikhkha Shohayota (12 taka EduAid for 12 Children)

"Baro Taka-y Baro Jon er Shikhkha Shohayota (12 taka EduAid for 12 Children)" is a project that was started in 2004. The concept is simple. Any one interested to contribute to this project, is required to make a minimum amount of 12 taka to the fund. The objective is to maximize the number of contributors which could eventually take the amount of contribution to a substantial figure. The contribution could be one time, weekly, monthly, annually or after any length of intervals. This Depends solely on the will of the contributor.

If the total number of contributors reaches to 1000 and if each contributor contributes Tk. 12, then the total amount stands at Tk. 12,000. Moreover, the upper limit of this contribution is left with the contributor's will. Therefore, the more contributors joins this program, the higher the amount would be. If it reaches 100,000 contributors, the principal amount would be Tk. 1,200,000. Then that money would be kept with the bank as fixed deposit and from the interest every year more than 12 needy students can afford education.

Students have been benefited from this project and some of them are pursuing their college education. This is a need based aid. The target group is not the meritorious students, but those who drop out from school as they cannot continue education due to financial limitations.
